Stencilling is Easy, (but takes a bit of practice to perfect).

Stencilling is very easy, but practice does make perfect.  You will get great results whether you are using fresh milk or soluble milk, a traditional espresso machine or a vending machine.  It makes no difference.  Here is how you do it.

If you are using a traditional machine
Froth the milk to make a fine bubbled foam.  If you are not sure how to do this or if you have difficulties making a lovely shaving foam type froth then check out the you tube clip (about 7 minutes in).
Pour the milk into the cup so that it stops just beneath the level of the cup.
Rest the stencil on the rim and sprinkle away.
If you then want the foam to rise above the rim you can now pour in an bit more milk at the side.

If you are using a vending machine that does everything for you.
Then all you have to do is hit the cappuccino button.
For great results set the machine up so that the drink stops just below the rim.
We find that if you tap the cup on the counter some of the larger bubble disappear to form a smoother foam.
You can now rest the stencil on top of the cup and sprinkle away!!

Watch these videos to get the idea and remember even though stencilling is simple, it will take a little practice to get it perfect everytime.
